Outsourcing elements of your business can be incredibly helpful, from computer support services to marketing agencies, there are always people available to take on work that you can't do. That way you can always be sure it's of the highest quality.    

Things will end up getting neglected

One of the other major issues that comes with trying to take on too much is that you're almost always going to end up focusing on some areas of your business over others. Neglecting any aspect of your business is going to result in serious problems. Sure, being able to prioritize and plan your time effectively is essential to running any business, but if you're neglecting important parts of your business then that's a serious issue.

You're going to burn out

The biggest risk when it comes to trying to take on too much is less of a risk to your business and more of a risk to yourself. Not only is that going to make it so that your work suffers but professional burnout can have serious implications for both your physical and mental health. You need to be sure that you're doing the right thing not just for your business but for yourself as well. After all, if you burn out, your business is going to be left without a leader.

The key to any successful business is being able to find a balance between what you want out of your business and what's best for it as a whole. The truth is that one of the most common reasons that a lot of businesses fail is ego, plain and simple. You can't let your ego get in the way of your business.
