I am a nurturer by nature, and I always knew I was made for two things: being a wife and being a mother. After becoming a wife in 2011, the next natural thing was to become a mother. I knew I always wanted kids, and experiencing the birth of my son was such an incredible thing. Logan was born in March of 2014 and the past year has been a whirlwind of new experiences. There have been ups and downs, and I have learned so much about my new little boy and myself, but I am loving this season of life.
It was an amazing journey to experience everything from the bump to have him in my arms as a baby. Holding my son in my arms for the first time was indescribable. It was definitely a learning experience to have a new baby as a first time mom, but everything felt so natural at the same time too. Logan fits perfectly in our family and I can't imagine life without him.
These days, I spend most of my time following him around the house as he explores and discovers new things, learns to walk, and becomes his own person. It is such a blessing to be able to be a work at home mom and be here to watch him grow and teach him the things I want to teach him (my tips for being a work at home mom coming soon). Most days I don't get as much work done as I would like, but I wouldn't have it any other way. This is the season of life that I am supposed to be in, and I am cherishing every moment of it because I know it will go by fast (which is why I created the new Joyful Beginnings Journal coming soon, so that you can too!).
Being a mother has been everything I dreamed it would and about a hundred times more. It is such a humbling and heart warming experience. For me, it feels like this is what I was meant to do and I am so grateful to have Logan in my life.
